Wedding flower budget calculator
Pick how much of your wedding budget goes to flowers, enter how many bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces you need, and we'll split the budget across them so you know what to ask florists for.
| Item | Count | About each | Subtotal |
|---|
Split by relative size (a bridal bouquet counts more than a boutonniere). A starting point for florist conversations, not a price list.
How it works
- The split uses relative sizes: a bridal bouquet counts as a bigger piece than a boutonniere. It's a starting point to bring to florists, not a price list.
- Reuse ceremony arrangements at the reception to stretch the budget.
- Seasonal and local flowers go further than out-of-season favorites. Ask your florist what's in season for your date.
Questions
How much of our wedding budget should go to flowers?
Our standard starting split puts flowers at about 7% of the total, with another 3% for decor and lighting. Raise it if flowers are one of your priorities and take it from somewhere that matters less to you.
What should we ask a florist for a quote?
Bring your date, venue, colors, the number of each item (this calculator's list) and your total flower budget. A clear budget gets you a realistic proposal faster.
How can we save on wedding flowers?
Use fewer, larger arrangements, mix in greenery, choose seasonal flowers, and move ceremony pieces to the reception.
