Privacy Policy

Effective November 6, 2026

VowPair helps couples find wedding vendors who fit their budget, and helps vendors find couples who fit them. This policy explains what information we collect to do that, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.

1. Who we are

VowPair (vowpair.com) is operated by CypressBit LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("VowPair", "we", "us"). This policy applies to vowpair.com, the wedding websites couples create with VowPair, and the emails we send.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: username, email address, first and last name, password (stored only as a secure hash), and whether you're planning a wedding or run a wedding business.
  • Wedding profile (couples): wedding date, city and market, travel radius, guest count, style, planning stage, total budget range, and your privacy settings.
  • Service requests (couples): the services you need, your budget for each, preferences, required features, and any note you add.
  • Budget tracker (couples): prices you agreed with vendors, vendors and expenses you add yourself, and deposits and payments you record. VowPair doesn't process these payments; it's your own record.
  • Planning team (couples): the name, email and relationship of anyone you invite to help plan, and what they can do.
  • Wedding website (couples): the description you write, your names, story, schedule, travel details, FAQs, photos, registry items and theme.
  • Guest RSVPs: when guests reply on a couple's wedding website, we collect their name, email, whether they're attending, the names in their party, events, meal choices, dietary needs and any message. We collect this on behalf of the couple, who can see and download it.
  • Vendor profiles (businesses): business name, description, logo, photos, services, packages and prices, service area, availability, website, booking or inquiry link, and phone number.
  • Billing (businesses): if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, subscription status and billing history, but never your full card number.
  • Messages and activity: messages and introductions between couples and vendors, shortlists, dismissals, selections, reports and blocks, and questions and answers you post in community Q&A.
  • Communications: emails you send us and your email notification preferences.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data: pages viewed, actions taken in VowPair (for example, viewing a vendor profile), approximate time, browser type, and IP address, as recorded in our server logs and product analytics.
  • Campaign information: if you arrive from an ad or a link with tracking tags (like utm_source), we record which channel and campaign brought you, so we know which marketing works.
  • Cookies: see Cookies, analytics and ads.

3. Business information from public sources

To invite wedding businesses to join VowPair, we may collect publicly available business contact information, such as business name, address, phone number, website, rating, and an email address published on the business's own website, from sources like Google Maps and the business's site. We use it only to send a small number of personal emails about VowPair.

If you'd rather not hear from us, reply "no thanks" to any of those emails or email us, and we'll stop and keep you on a do-not-contact list so it doesn't happen again.

4. How we use information

  • To run VowPair: create your account, match couples and vendors, show matches and the reasons behind them, deliver messages and introductions, power the budget tracker, planning team and wedding websites, and collect RSVPs.
  • To send emails you'd expect: notifications about matches, messages and RSVPs (you control most of these in Account Settings), invites you ask us to send, and account and billing notices.
  • To bill vendors who choose a paid plan, and to issue partner offers such as the free website code.
  • To understand and improve VowPair, including which features and marketing channels work.
  • To measure our advertising, if you allow advertising cookies.
  • To keep VowPair safe: prevent spam and abuse, enforce limits such as one introduction per vendor per request, and review reports.
  • To comply with the law and protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your contact details with vendors or third parties for their own marketing.

5. What other people can see

  • Vendors who match a couple's request see the details needed to judge fit: the wedding date, general location, the budget for their service, and, depending on the couple's privacy settings, guest count, style, planning stage and total budget. They don't see the couple's name or contact details until the couple accepts an introduction or messages them first.
  • Vendor profiles are public, so couples and visitors can find them.
  • Share links: if a couple turns on a public share link for a request, anyone with the link can see the request details shown on that page, but never contact details. Couples can turn it off at any time.
  • Wedding websites are visible to anyone with the link once published, unless the couple adds a guest password.
  • Planning team members invited by a couple can see that couple's plan, including budgets, matches, the budget tracker and payments. They can't see the couple's messages with vendors.
  • Community Q&A posts are visible to other couples on the vendor's profile, not to the vendor.
  • Your agreed prices and payments in the budget tracker are visible only to you and your planning team, never to vendors.

6. Service providers and sharing

We use trusted providers to run VowPair. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:

  • Hosting and infrastructure for our servers and database.
  • Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock) to run the AI models that draft wedding websites, invitations and some of our own business emails.
  • Stripe to process vendor subscription payments and promotion codes.
  • Postmark to deliver email.
  • Google for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (only with your cookie consent), Google Maps data for finding wedding businesses, and Gmail for the emails we send.
  • Meta for the Meta Pixel, which measures our Facebook and Instagram ads (only with your cookie consent).

Digitally Boosted is our sister company, also run by CypressBit LLC. If a vendor earns the free website offer, we issue a promotion code that the vendor can redeem on Digitally Boosted. We don't share your VowPair profile with Digitally Boosted unless you sign up there.

We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the safety, rights or property of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

7. Cookies, analytics and ads

  • Essential cookies keep you signed in, protect forms from forgery, and remember your cookie choice. VowPair doesn't work without them.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager, and the Meta Pixel) load only after you click Accept on our cookie notice. They help us understand how VowPair is used and whether our ads lead to signups. When you've accepted, the Meta Pixel can tell Meta that a visit or signup happened, so Meta can report on and improve our ads.

If you click Decline, or make no choice, those scripts don't run. To change your mind later, clear the smbs_cookie_consent cookie for vowpair.com in your browser and choose again. You can also control ad settings in your Meta and Google account settings.

8. AI features

When you ask VowPair to draft your wedding website or invitation, the description and details you provide are sent to an AI model running on Amazon Bedrock to produce a draft. You can edit or replace anything it writes. Amazon Bedrock doesn't use these inputs to train its models. AI drafts can contain mistakes, so please review your site before you publish it.

9. How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, requests, wedding website, budget tracker, planning team and the content tied to your account are deleted. Some information may remain for a limited time in backups, and we keep records we're required to keep (for example, billing records) and analytics that no longer identify you. Guest RSVPs are deleted with the couple's wedding website.

10. Your choices and rights

  • Access and correct: update your profile and settings at any time.
  • Export: download a copy of your data from Account Settings.
  • Delete: delete your account from Account Settings. This can't be undone.
  • Privacy controls (couples): choose which wedding details matched vendors can see, turn off vendor introductions, close requests, and block or report vendors.
  • Emails: turn off notification emails in Account Settings. Account and billing notices still send.
  • Cookies: accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies.

Depending on where you live, including under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, use the tools above or email us. We'll respond within the time the law requires, and you can appeal a decision by replying to our response.

11. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and other reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

12. Children

VowPair is for adults. You must be at least 18 to create an account, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Guests replying to an RSVP may list children in their party; that information is provided by the guest for the couple's use. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as VowPair changes. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant we'll let you know by email or in VowPair before they take effect.
